Our Story: Inspired by Compassion, Powered by Community
The Propane and Power Relief Fund was born from the firsthand experiences of friends who saw a gap in disaster relief efforts. In the wake of Tropical Storm Helene, we witnessed the devastation that left rural communities in Western North Carolina isolated and without access to critical resources. These communities, often overlooked by larger relief efforts, inspired us to act.
Kelly Tidwell: The Heart of Our Mission
Our founder, Kelly Tidwell, embodies the selflessness and ingenuity that drive our work. As the owner of Elite Power and Energy and a former U.S. Marine, Kelly has always been a problem-solver with a passion for service. After the storm, Kelly took it upon himself to deliver aid to those stranded in hard-to-reach areas and never looked back.
